Job Description
POSITION INFORMATION:

Teams will work 8-12 hour shifts. Employees will need to supply their own transportation to the job site.

This position may qualify for PERSI Retirement.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

To work at the Aquatic Nuisance Species (ANS) Prevention Program Check Station on Highway 93, 3 miles north of Jackpot. There will be a team of two people on staff at all times, teams will work 8-12 hour shifts. Employees will need to supply their own transportation to the job site. The station will be open 7 days a week, from February 17th - October 31st.


DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

Become knowledgeable of aquatic invasive species issues affecting Idaho.
Interacts with the public in various settings to explain the project by providing technical information regarding ANS and the threat is poses to waterways in Idaho.
Provide all water craft and trailer inspections.
Conduct and document boater surveys.
Operate digital equipment including GPS and computers.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:

Accurate data collection.
Some physical tasks (bending, squatting, lifting, crawling under boats, operating machinery)
Ability to interact and communicate with fellow employees and the public.
Work outdoors in all types of weather.
